Terms of Use

Version dated 6 October 2026

1. Operator and Scope of these Terms

The House of Bridge application is operated by:

PIOTR KUC-DZIERŻAWSKI PONYX
ul. Saperów 4/2
31-436 Kraków, Poland
Tax Identification Number (NIP): 6782847669
Email: contact@houseofbridge.com

referred to below as “PONYX”, “we” or “us”.

These Terms of Use (the “Terms”) govern the use of the House of Bridge application available at play.houseofbridge.com (the “Application”) and constitute the terms for the provision of electronic services.

The Application provides online bridge play and related features, including tables, matches, tournaments, robots, educational tools, game history and analyses.

The availability of particular features may depend on the type of table or event, its settings and the user’s permissions.

These Terms are available free of charge and may be saved or printed.

2. Free Use and User Accounts

Use of the features covered by these Terms is free of charge.

Creating an account or using the Application does not create any payment obligation.

Any future paid services will require a separate order and the applicable terms will be presented before purchase. A free account will not be converted into a paid obligation without the user’s explicit agreement.

To create an account, you must complete the registration process, provide the required information, satisfy the authentication requirements and accept these Terms.

The agreement for maintaining your account is concluded upon successful completion of registration and continues for an indefinite period.

Users must be at least 13 years old. Minors should obtain the consent of a parent or legal guardian to the extent required by applicable law.

You may use a nickname for public identification. It must not be used to impersonate another person or infringe the rights of others.

Protect access to your account and do not allow another person to play under your identity. If you suspect unauthorised access, contact us.

3. Technical Requirements

Using the Application requires:

  • a device with a supported web browser,
  • an internet connection,
  • JavaScript support,
  • browser functionality required for authentication and session management.

Registration and account management require access to the email address associated with the account.

Authentication is handled through Microsoft Azure AD B2C.

Some features may require an appropriate screen size or may not be available on all devices.

4. Fair Play and User Conduct

Use the Application lawfully, with respect for other users and in accordance with the rules applicable to the relevant game or event.

The following are prohibited in particular:

  • cheating or unauthorised exchange of information about a board;
  • manipulating results;
  • using multiple accounts to gain an unfair advantage;
  • using unauthorised assistance from another person, external software or artificial intelligence during competition;
  • harassment, threats or impersonation of another person;
  • publishing unlawful content or disclosing another person’s personal data without authorisation;
  • bypassing security measures or obtaining unauthorised access;
  • sending spam or intentionally disrupting the Application.

Built-in robots, analyses and educational tools may be used in accordance with the intended purpose of the relevant feature.

Assistance expressly allowed in a learning or training mode is not treated as unauthorised assistance within that mode.

Do not provide information about a board to persons who have not yet completed it where doing so could compromise the integrity of the competition.

5. Types of Games and Visibility

Games and events in House of Bridge may have different levels of accessibility.

Some tables, matches or tournaments may be public or accessible to a broad group of users.

Others may be private or restricted to specified participants. In such cases, access to the event, its results, board history and other related information may be limited to participants, organisers, tournament directors, coaches or other authorised persons.

The visibility of information depends on the type of event, its configuration and the intended purpose of the relevant feature.

Personal data and game history are further described in the Privacy Policy.

6. Tournaments, Directors and Analyses

When participating in a tournament or other event, you must follow its rules and reasonable decisions made by the appointed tournament director.

The organiser may specify, among other things, the scoring method, time limits, permitted conventions and procedures for sporting appeals.

Events or training sessions may be conducted by independent organisers or coaches. Their use of the Application does not in itself mean that they act on behalf of PONYX.

Independent organisers and coaches are responsible for their own obligations towards participants. PONYX remains responsible for its obligations relating to the provision of the Application.

Robots and computer-generated analyses may contain errors or rely on particular assumptions. They do not guarantee that every decision is correct or that any particular sporting result will be achieved.

7. Results and Sporting Records

Participation in a match, tournament or other competition may result in the recording of its progress, results, scores and rankings.

These records may be retained after a user deletes their account where this is necessary to maintain reliable records of competitions, results, awarded points or rankings.

Deleting an account therefore does not automatically cancel previously achieved results or remove sporting data whose retention is justified by the nature of the competition.

The visibility of retained history depends on the type of event. Information concerning private events may remain available only to persons authorised to access that event.

Further information about personal data and deletion is provided in the Privacy Policy and User Data Removal Policy.

8. Content and Intellectual Property

Rights to the Application software, design, branding and materials created by PONYX belong to PONYX or other respective rights holders.

You may use those materials within the scope of the features provided by the Application.

You must have appropriate rights to any materials that you upload or share, including training materials and files containing bridge deals.

To the extent necessary to provide the features you use, you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to store, technically process and display those materials to the appropriate recipients.

This does not give us the right to sell your materials or use them for unrelated advertising.

9. Reporting Violations and Restricting Access

Violations of these Terms and unlawful content may be reported to:

contact@houseofbridge.com

Please describe the incident as accurately as possible and, where possible, provide information that allows us to identify it, such as a nickname, tournament name, board number or link.

Depending on the nature and seriousness of the violation, we may:

  • issue a warning,
  • remove specific content,
  • restrict access to a feature,
  • temporarily suspend an account,
  • terminate an account.

When making such decisions, we consider the nature of the conduct, whether it is repeated, its consequences and the available information.

Where there is a serious security risk, an obvious violation of law or an ongoing serious breach of these Terms, we may take immediate action.

In other cases, where appropriate, we may allow the user to provide an explanation or remedy the violation.

10. Closing Your Account

You may stop using the Application and terminate the agreement for maintaining your account at any time, without giving a reason, by contacting:

contact@houseofbridge.com

We may verify that the request has been submitted by the person authorised to control the account.

Deleting an account and deleting personal data are related processes, but this does not automatically result in deletion of records of tournaments, matches, results, scores and rankings where there is a lawful basis for retaining them.

Further information is provided in the Privacy Policy and User Data Removal Policy.

We may also terminate an account in the event of a serious or repeated breach of these Terms, a significant security risk or where required by law.

If we decide to discontinue the Application for all users, we will provide appropriate notice unless immediate action is required by law or for security reasons.

11. Availability and Liability

We take reasonable care in providing and maintaining the Application.

Maintenance, technical faults and circumstances beyond our control may cause temporary interruptions.

We do not guarantee uninterrupted access to the Application or that every bridge analysis, robot decision or other computer-generated feature will always be error-free.

Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.

12. Complaints

Complaints relating to the operation of the Application should be sent to:

contact@houseofbridge.com

Describe the problem and provide information that allows us to identify it, for example your nickname, tournament name or board number.

No particular complaint form is required.

We respond to complaints within 14 days of receiving them, normally by electronic means.

This period relates to providing our response to the complaint and does not guarantee that every technical issue will be resolved within 14 days.

Requests concerning personal data are handled under the rules and time limits described in the Privacy Policy.

13. Changes to these Terms

We may change these Terms for justified reasons, including:

  • changes in applicable law,
  • security requirements,
  • technical changes to the Application,
  • development or modification of available features.

We inform users in advance about material changes affecting the existing account agreement, in particular by email or through a notice in the Application.

Where a change materially affects a user’s rights or obligations, we provide appropriate advance notice unless faster action is necessary due to legal requirements or security concerns.

If you do not accept the revised Terms, you may stop using your account before the changes take effect.

Changes do not apply retroactively and do not remove rights already acquired by users.

14. Final Provisions

These Terms are governed by Polish law.

The choice of Polish law does not deprive consumers of protection provided by mandatory provisions of the law that would otherwise apply.

The jurisdiction of courts is determined by applicable law.

If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue to apply to the extent permitted by law.

The processing of personal data is governed by the Privacy Policy.

Account and data deletion are described in the User Data Removal Policy.

Questions concerning these Terms should be sent to contact@houseofbridge.com.
