Better online bridge experience
IT world has changed a lot in the past 20 years. User experience became a key element of every application, software & hardware performance skyrocketed and cloud computing changed the business forever thanks to its availability and scalability.
We wanted to see a similar progress in online bridge. Players, tournament directors and coaches deserve an application that will not only work, but will also be fast, pretty, scalable and constantly improving like everything around us.
And this is why the three of us created HoB.
My name is Piotr and I’m one of the HoB founders. I’ve been playing bridge for more than 25 years now. I’m still struggling to get my team promoted to the 1st division but I’m sure I’ll get there one day 🙂
I got my degree in computer science. Since then I’ve been working in IT – first programming and then overseeing production of modern software for global customers. Working with end users, inventing features and taking care of quality have been my bread & butter for as long as I remember.
Privately I have a lovely wife and two teenagers who somehow believe they are grown-ups already. Although I failed to teach them bridge, I succeeded in making them Star Wars fans – well, you can’t have everything…
At HoB I’m a Product Manager. My professional experience and bridge expertise help a lot here. If you decide to share your feedback or some ideas for improvements with us, it’s quite possible that I’ll be the one to read it and reply!

YEARS OF PRACTICE
Hi, I’m Maciek. I’m the guy who created the first prototype of an online bridge game that later became the House of Bridge. I’ve been writing code since I was 14 and have been tinkering with computers since I got my first Commodore 64.
Over the last 20 years I’ve worked as a software developer, team lead, and software architect. I enjoy working with businesspeople, trying to solve real world problems with software. At the same time, I still very much enjoy coding on every level and feel bad when I don’t write at least a couple of lines of code every day.
At HoB I’m one of the lead developers adding new features, fixing bugs, and trying to turn the House of Bridge into the best online bridge experience.

I am a Master of Computer Science. Since I started my career, I have supported multiple teams in every cycle of software development.
Having worked with international clients, I am able to view things from a broader perspective and better understand the needs of users.
Since I am an avid food lover, I spend a good deal of my free time eating out with my better half. What makes me super fun at parties is my interest in astrophysics and evolutionary biology… 😉
At HoB, I am one of the lead developers responsible for continually improving our application and ensuring everyone has an exceptional experience.
