User Data Removal Policy
Last updated: 6 October 2026
The House of Bridge application is operated by PIOTR KUC-DZIERŻAWSKI PONYX, which is also the controller of users’ personal data, referred to below as “PONYX”, “we” or “us”.
We process personal data in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
This Policy explains how to request deletion of your account, what information is deleted and what information may remain after you stop using House of Bridge.
1. How to Request Account Deletion
You may request deletion of your House of Bridge account at any time.
Send your request to:
Where possible, send the request from the email address associated with your account.
If you no longer have access to that email address, you may still submit a request. Where we have reasonable doubts about your identity, we may ask for additional information necessary to verify it.
Account deletion is free of charge.
2. What We Delete
When your account is deleted, we delete data used to operate the account and provide authentication, including in particular:
- the email address associated with your account,
- profile information that is no longer required for another lawful purpose,
- data used solely for authentication and account management.
Once the deletion process has been completed, you will no longer be able to sign in using the deleted account.
Some information may be retained where necessary because of a legal obligation, the protection of legal claims or another lawful basis for processing.
3. Game History
Deleting your account does not automatically result in deletion of records of tournaments, matches and other competitions that have already taken place.
We may retain:
- results,
- scores,
- rankings,
- pair or team composition,
- bidding and play history,
- other information necessary to document the competition,
where retaining such information is necessary to maintain reliable sporting records, verify results or awarded points, or resolve disputes concerning competitions.
The legal basis for continued processing of such information is our legitimate interest and, where applicable, the legitimate interests of competition organisers and participants.
The scope, visibility and retention period of retained information are limited to what is necessary for those purposes.
When continued identification of the player is no longer necessary and there is no other lawful basis for processing, identifying data is deleted or anonymised.
4. Visibility of Retained Game History
The visibility of retained game history after account deletion depends on the type of competition.
For public events, some sporting information may remain available to users who have access to tournament results, event history or analyses.
Where an event was private or restricted to specific persons, retained records remain available only in accordance with the access rules applicable to that event, for example to participants, the organiser, tournament director or coach.
Deleting an account does not automatically change a private event into a public one or expand the group of persons who may access its history.
5. How Long Account Deletion Takes
We aim to complete the account deletion process within 14 days of receiving your request.
We will confirm completion electronically.
Information about action taken in response to your request will be provided within the time limits required by applicable data protection law.
6. Where We Cannot Delete All Information
The right to deletion is not absolute.
Where certain information must continue to be processed, for example because of:
- a legal obligation,
- the establishment, exercise or defence of legal claims,
- the need to maintain reliable sporting records,
we may refuse deletion of that information to the extent necessary.
Where this happens, we will explain the basis for continued processing.
Information retained after account deletion remains subject to personal data protection rules where it can still be used to identify the user.
7. Your Rights
You may ask us for information about personal data that we continue to process after your account has been deleted.
Subject to the conditions set out in the GDPR, you may also:
- request access to your data,
- request correction of your data,
- request deletion of your data,
- request restriction of processing,
- object to processing based on our legitimate interests.
Each request is assessed individually, taking into account both your rights and the legitimate need to preserve reliable sporting records.
You may also lodge a complaint with the President of the Polish Personal Data Protection Office (UODO) or another competent supervisory authority.
